ABDULLAH A. Alrowais, Chief Audit Executive Officer at Mobily, board member of the Saudi Institute of Internal Auditors and Chief of Executive Committee of IIA, has received “Lifetime Achievement Award 2016” from the UAE Internal Audit Association for his achievements in the development of the internal auditing profession, not only in the Kingdom but also throughout the region.
Alrowais participated in many initiatives to develop the internal audit profession and awareness of its strategic and proactive role to improve and develop the culture of corporate governance and encounter potential risks, monitoring and improving performance in the organizations. He also participated as a speaker in several regional and global conferences to share knowledge on various topics related to corporate governance, risk management and internal audit, and the fight corruption and fraud.
The honoring came on the sidelines The 17th Annual Regional Audit Conference which was held recently in Dubai. Alrowais participated as one of the keynote speakers in the conference and he reviewed the important role of internal auditing to enhance the corporate governance systems and performance audit.
The annual regional audit conference is considered the largest event of its kind in the region, where it discusses the latest trends affecting the internal auditing profession. It is an important opportunity to exchange views and experiences and receive the latest and best training. — SG
