JEDDAH — ARM United, Saudi Oil and MB Stars came out on top in the 6th week matches of the Ace Premier League, sponsored by Ace Travel and Tours and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA) here. ARM United downed Pak Shaheen by 14 runs. ARM United scored 156 for 9. Najam scored 45 and Ashraf 29. Afzal took 3 wickets for 14 and Faisal 2-12. Pak Shaheen was bowled out for 142 in 19.1 overs. Qamar (27) and Aamir (23) put up stiff resistance but Zeeshan (3-23), Mansoor (2-24) and Ata Ur Rehman (2-39) handed ARM a thrilling win.
Saudi Oil thrashed ALJ Toshiba by 49 runs. Saudi Oil Company posted 223 for the loss of 7 wickets. Sulaiman blasted his way to a superb 94 and Asim added 53. Arif claimed 3-36 and Bilal 2-24. ALJ was bundled out for 173 in 18.5 overs. Aftab scored 44 runs and Tanveer 23. Skipper Humayun Farooq took 3-41, while Waqas and Chukar bagged 2 wickets each.
MB Stars thumped Sindh XI by 6 wickets. Sindh XI piled up 231 for 5 with contrasting knocks from Mohsin (91) and Munawar (95). Moazzam Virk and Ateeq Mansha bowled well. MB Stars reached the target in 19 overs, losing 4 wickets in the process. Mahmood (60), Moazzam Virk (71) gave it a solid start, which was later capitalized by Ateeq Mansha (66 not out). Munawar toiled hard to pick up 2-38.
