The all-new Macan GTS has arrived in Porsche showrooms across Saudi Arabia last month (March). Bearing the GTS insignia, the latest addition to the Macan range is inspired by motor racing and features a re-engineered chassis, reinforced brakes, along with a 20 hp increase from the Macan S.

Like all other GTS models, it offers superior driving dynamics combined with exclusive GTS design. With the Macan GTS, Porsche Saudi Arabia presented the sportiest Macan version at exclusive launch event here in Jeddah.

Michael Mueller, Executive Director of Porsche Saudi Arabia, said: “The all-new Macan GTS represents Porsche performance coupled with everyday usability which has become synonymous with our cars. At first glance, the racing attributes of the car are clear to see; the unmistakable DNA of legendary Porsche sports cars of the past, have been evolved into a formidable compact SUV with sharpened style. Sure to deliver an exhilarating driving experience, the Macan GTS’ sporty precision expertly offers raw power within an attractive model offer that includes a range of options as standard.”

Boasting an output of 360 hp and 500 Nm maximum torque, the model features a three-litre V6 bi-turbo engine accompanied by the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) and Porsche Traction Management (PTM) with flexible power distribution between front and rear axles. Completing the zero to 100 km/h sprint in 5.0 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package, the Macan GTS has a top speed of 256 km/h.

Power is transmitted via the seven-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) fitted as standard. It permits lightning-fast gearshifts without any interruption in traction, automatically or optionally via paddles on the steering wheel.

The model features a sportier tuning of the PASM chassis, which have been lowered by 15 millimeters, along with 20-inch RS Spyder design wheels finished in matt black paint and covered by mixed tyres (front: 265/45 and rear: 295/40).

In keeping with iconic Porsche styling are the standard GTS sport seats with Alcantara center panels, whilst the new Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system celebrates its SUV debut in the Macan GTS.
Porsche’s latest four-door sports car can be recognized at first glance thanks to a range of exterior accents finished in black, this includes high gloss in the upper and matt finish in the lower areas of the car, as well as GTS-specific coloring, that comes as standard.

The all-new Porsche Macan GTS is available for order in Saudi Arabia now, with the basic retail price of SAR302,500. Launch events will be held in the country’s three Porsche Centres at the end of March 2016. – SG
