Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) on Wednesday flew to the Maldives, the first of its international destinations for the year 2016 which will also include Munchen, Ankara and Algeria. The Boeing B777-300ER landed at Male airport at 9 a.m. local time. Onboard was Saudia director general Saleh Bin Nasser Al-Jasser, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the Maldives Badr Bin Ali Al-Kihail, the Maldives ambassador to the Kingdom Abdullah Humaid, a number of businessmen, journalists, a team from the Saudi Export Development Authority and passengers heading to the Maldives and others continuing their journey to Colombo. — SG
