Extreme obstacles gauge Hyundai’s new model ranges

SAUDI Arabia’s motoring journalists have discovered what lies behind Hyundai’s stunning sales growth in the Kingdom, at a special media ‘Day with Hyundai’ in Jeddah last Wednesday.

Hyundai posted a record 25% year-on-year increase in sales in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2015, the company’s largest and most important market in the region. At a purpose-built test facility, ‘The Rock’, invited media put the latest models through their paces, with the facility including a set of extreme obstacles to challenge the brand’s SUV range.

Hyundai models at the event included Sanata Fe, Tucson, Creta, Sonata, Genesis, i10 and Elantra.

‘Day with Hyundai’ was the first event of its type by a carmaker in Saudi Arabia, bringing together all of the company’s KSA distributors in support of the event: Al Wallan Trading Company, Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors, and Al Majdouie Motors.
