Green ornamental lamps (one meter in height) have replaced the white ones (above left) on the boundary of Hateem, a low wall originally part of the Holy Kaba. Hateem is a semi-circular wall opposite, but not connected to, the north-west wall of the Kaba. The wall is 90 cm in height and 1.5 m in width.
The lamps signify the place from Prophet Ismail passed on bricks and stones to Prophet Ibrahim while he was constructing the Kaba according to the command of Almighty Allah. — Courtesy photos
