Soliman Al-Hamdan, president of the General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA), who is also the chairman of Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia), and Saudia Director General Saleh Al-Jasser visit the family of Capt. Waleed Bin Mohammed Al-Mohammed, the pilot who died aboard Saudia’s Bisha-Riyadh flight SV1734 on Tuesday. Al-Mohammed suffered a massive heart attack as he was trying to land at King Khalid International Airport. His co-pilot Rami Ben Ghazi took over control and landed the plane safely, but the captain was pronounced dead on board. The two officials offered condolences to the family of Capt. Al-Mohammed on behalf of the airline and its staff. — Courtesy photo
