MANILA — The Barangay Ginebra Kings roared to their third straight victory, drubbing the Mahindra Enforcers, 104-96, in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Wednesday night.

Import Othyus Jeffers led the Kings with 24 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists while point guard LA Tenorio finished with 15 points, six boards and seven assists.

Twin towers Japeth Aguilar added 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Greg Slaughter chipped in with 12 and 10. Joe Devance came off the bench to contribute 12 markers.

Ginebra improved to a 3-2 win-loss record, the same as Mahindra after its loss.

The Kings raced to a double-digit lead early in the game and were never threatened as they kept the Enforcers at bay all night long.

KG Canaleta led the Enforcers with 22 points while import Augustus Gilchrist had 18 markers and 13 rebounds. LA Revilla added 11 points.

San Miguel Beer 108, Blackwater 96

Powered by an explosive import in Tyler Wilkerson and back-to-back MVP June Mar Fajardo, the San Miguel Beermen had little trouble disposing of the Blackwater Elite, 108-96.

The victory was the second straight for the Beermen after they began their Commissioner’s Cup campaign with a loss.

After posting 52 points in SMB’s last game, Wilkerson stayed sharp, finishing with 35 points, including four triples, one of which gave the Beermen their biggest lead at 80-55 near the end of the third period. He also had 17 rebounds, and four blocks.

Fajardo was as devastating, dishing out 20 points and seven boards.

Adding more firepower, Alex Cabagnot scored 13 points while Marcio Lassiter had 11.

To compound Blackwater’s woes, two of its playmakers—Mike Cortez and Jerick Canada—were missing.

JP Erram and Carlo Lastimosa led the Elite with 16 points apiece. Import MJ Rhett could only deliver 12 points, 14 boards, three assists, and one block against five turnovers in 31 minutes. Reil Cervantes also chipped in with 12 points while Jai Reyes and Art dela Cruz added 12 and 11 markers, respectively for Blackwater.

The Elite absorbed a second straight loss as they fell to a 2-3 win-loss card.

Games Friday: Rain or Shine Elasto Painters (1-3) vs. NLEX Road Warriors (2-2) and Alaska Aces (2-1) vs. Phoenix Fuel Masters (1-2).
