VALENCIA — Cameroonian teenager Wilfrid Kaptoum scored a late equalizer to give Barcelona a 1-1 draw at Valencia that wrapped up an 8-1 aggregate success in their King’s Cup semifinal Wednesday.
The second-leg result, which denied home coach Gary Neville a much-needed first win in four matches, was academic after Barcelona had crushed Valencia 7-0 in the first leg at the Nou Camp.
Barca, which went through to its sixth final in eight seasons, will face Celta Vigo or Sevilla in the showpiece match.
The draw was Barcelona’s 29th match unbeaten and Luis Enrique’s side surpassed the previous best mark set by former boss Pep Guardiola in the 2010-11 season.
Alvaro Negredo put Valencia in front in the 39th minute after goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen had parried his first effort but the ball fell nicely back to the striker to tap home.
It was Valencia’s first goal in four games since Rodrigo scored in the second leg of their Cup quarterfinal win over Las Palmas on Jan. 28.
Kaptoum found the net two minutes after coming on as a substitute eight minutes from time.
Luis Enrique rested nearly all his first-choice players, making eight changes from the first leg with Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Neymar, Javier Mascherano and Gerard Pique all missing the game.

Bayern Munich eased into the German Cup semifinals with a 3-0 victory over 10-man VfL Bochum Wednesday with Robert Lewandowski scoring twice to keep their treble hopes on track.
With coach Pep Guardiola’s move to Manchester City next season still making headlines, the Bavarians looked off the pace in the first half for the second consecutive game following their goalless draw against Bayer Leverkusen in the league Saturday.
The Bundesliga leader, which takes on Juventus in the Champions League round of 16 later this month, had to wait 40 minutes for their first chance, with Poland striker Lewandowski firing home after a quick one-two with Thomas Mueller on the edge of the box.
The Bavarians could have scored again two minutes later when Jan Simunek was sent off for bringing down Arjen Robben in the box, but Mueller’s penalty was saved by Manuel Riemann.
Bayern had it easier in the second half with Mueller delivering a cutback for Thiago Alcantara to score his first goal of the season. Lewandowski grabbed his second goal in stoppage time.
Hertha Berlin joined Bayern in the last four after seeing off second-tier Heidenheim 3-2.

PSG in French Cup quarters

Saint-Etienne also needed extra time to see off Ligue 1’s bottom side Troyes as France Under-21 forward Neal Maupay struck the decisive blow in the 107th minute, while Lorient thumped fourth-tier Sarre-Union 4-0.
West Brom beats Peterborough
West Bromwich Albion survived a scare to edge past third-tier Peterborough on penalties in an FA Cup replay to reach the fifth round Wednesday.
West Brom goalkeeper Ben Foster saved from Martin Samuelsen and Lee Angol in the shootout as the English Premier League club won 4-3 following a 1-1 draw after extra time.
Jon Taylor gave Peterborough the lead, only for Darren Fletcher to level for West Brom, who couldn’t settle the match in regular time.
