Karnataka NRIs bid farewell to Qureshi

JEDDAH — Karnataka NRIs Forum in Jeddah bid farewell to a senior diplomat Consul Mohammed Raghib Qureshi, who completed his tenure here recently. While speaking at the event Raghib Qureshi appreciated the activities carried out by the forum to help the poor and needy people in India and to assist the Kannadigas staying in Kingdom.

President Roshan Rodrigues appreciated the support and encouragement of Qureshi to the forum and thanked him for energizing activities of the forum,  as it strives to help poor and needy people back home in Karnataka.
Senior members of the forum Sabu Chandran, Krish Jangal and Dr. Ashfaq Maniyar honored Qureshi with bouquet and shawl.

This gathering was also attended by Vice Consul Anup Singh and Karnataka NRIs Executive Committee members Habib Rahman, Syed Haseebuddin, Peter Mascarenas, Mohsin Khan, Imtiaz Ahmed, Arif Shimoga, Faizee Shaikh, Saleem Khaleefa, Hayath Dadapeer and Nasir Shah.

Program started with welcome speech by Yashwanth Amin, joint secretary of the forum, in which he praised the outstanding performances of Qureshi as an educationist improving the quality of education in private schools.

Joint Cultural Secretaries Mohammed Kaleem and Shakeel Ahmed entertained the audience with their melodious all-time favorite Hindi songs.  Vice President Syed Nasir Khursheed anchored the program while vote of thanks was delivered by Aijaz Ahmed, general secretary.
