DAMMAM — Camping is fun and it is good for one’s mind, body and spirit. The Upper Primary Boys’ Section of International Indian School, Dammam, organized a one-day outdoor camp under the guidance of Headmaster Mohammed Ismail. Over 200 students of class III, IV, & V Cubs participated in this one-day outdoor event.
The first activity of Cubs was Scout welcome clap and welcome song. All Cubs coordinators had planned out various exciting outdoor games for the participants. Cubs were taught on the community routine ‘Sharing and Caring’ while eating together.
A Cub gives utmost importance to discipline and cleanliness; hence as part of this cleanliness drive the boys cleaned up the Al-Khobar Corniche area. Scout Masters Ms. Rabia Nikhat, Ms. Noor Fathima, Ms. Anitha, Ms. Gayatri, Ms. Nisha, Ms. Nanda, Ms. Amina, Riyazuddin and Ms. Venu coordinated the daylong activities.
A Saudi Scout Master was impressed with the activities of IISD cadet scouts and had given gifts to Special Care Section’s Cubs. The Cubs had a wonderful time; it was an action packed day with lots of fun and some learning too. — SG
