JEDDAH – The Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) has made elaborate preparations and taken flawless precautionary measures to deal with the anticipated wave of climatic disturbances and inclement weather in various regions of the Kingdom, especially the Central Region and the Eastern Province on Tuesday.

Abdurahman Al-Fahd, assistant director general for public relations and spokesman of Saudia, said that the plans and procedures taken by Saudia during the climatic conditions and heavy rain witnessed in Jeddah over the last week have proven very effective and helpful in restricting its impact to the minimum, especially in regards to operation of flight services.

“The Saudia, represented by its center for emergencies and crises, has taken a series of precautionary measures like minute monitoring of the flight services through direct contact with pilots, changing course of flight routes, increasing aviation fuel reserve of flights, and feeding the flight crew with the latest weather forecast,” he said. — SG
