ABU DHABI —  The three-day first RSAConference 2015 Abu Dhabi that served as a platform for networking, strategic debate and knowledge share, received tremendous response and participation from the regional information security industry.

RSA Conference announced new RSA Archer GRC offerings, enhancing the user experience for all RSA Archer solutions. New features are engineered to include a walk-up friendly, task-driven user interface and drag-and-drop advanced workflow capabilities to make risk management easy and effective for all “three lines of defense” – business users, risk managers, and the audit team. New features have been added to RSA Archer Operational Risk Management to help streamline how organizations identify, assess, respond, and monitor existing and emerging risks.

The Conference announced the regional launch of RSAC CyberSafety: Kids initiative. The focus of the initiative is to create awareness around the risks that children face when they are using todays’ digital tools such as the web, social media and mobile applications, as well as educate conference attendees on ways they can help ensure their family’s safety online.

“In a world where more of the younger generation are online, it’s important that they receive adequate protection,” said Sandra Toms, Vice President and Curator, RSA Conference. “With the regional launch of the RSA CyberSafety: Kids initiative, our goal is not to cut kids off from technology, but instead educate and mentor them on how to leverage the Internet safely and securely.”

“We’ve seen an incredible response in terms of participation, which reflects that cybersecurity is a key priority in the Middle East. I look forward to the positive impact these discussions will make on this region moving forward,” said Linda Gray, RSAConference general manager.

Saif Al Nuaimi, Chief of Regulatory and Strategic Affairs, NESA, said “cybersecurity awareness is key to NESA’s long term vision to promote a safer cyber-culture in the UAE. RSA Conference 2015 Abu Dhabi, provides a good opportunity for both private and public sector organizations to improve their understanding of cybersecurity trends and plan for the future.”  — SG
