JEDDAH — Doodle for a Cause is the name of the breast cancer awareness campaign launched last Wednesday by Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital in cooperation with the Zahra Breast Cancer.
The campaign included a number of events intended to shed light on the nature of the disease, its symptoms, and prevention.
It stressed the importance of continuous examination in order to assist in early detection of the disease.
During the campaign, an educational video was shown, in addition to lectures given by a number of specialists and former patients.
Volunteers knowledgeable about this field also gave lectures. Some of the attendees were given free screening tests for cancer, gifts, as well as awareness publications.
Prominent public figures and women are leading the campaign, with a huge public backing the campaign. — SG
