JEDDAH — Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) has won the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Certificate accredited by the International Organization for Standardization. The certificate was awarded for being distinguished in information security management and for applying the highest international standards in this area.
Mobily received the certificate from the British Standards Institution (BSI) on the sidelines of GITEX international exhibition 2015 in Dubai; the certification was received by Eng. Maziad Al Harbi, Chief Executive Officer of Technology in Mobily, on behalf of the company.
BSI representatives visited Mobily to conduct a comprehensive inspection to ensure optimal application of the required standards that relate to the information security across domains such as information security governance, network infrastructure security, data network management services and public network monitoring services with data centers.
The ISO Certificate 27001:2013 is considered as one of the premier international standards in information security management services, which ensures the provision of best services for business and reflects the eagerness of creating and securing a safe information environment by the winnings companies together with a solid infrastructure that helps in creating the most practical solutions in the information technology sector.
The international certificate crowns the efforts of Mobily, represented by the network and information security management to achieve a high level of security, in addition to Mobily’s role in setting the latest security standards to ensure the quality of services provided by the company. — SG
