BAHA — A 35-year-old man threatened to commit suicide and jump from the sixth floor of King Fahd Hospital because he was not receiving satisfactory treatment.

Baha Police spokesman Col. Tirad Saad said the police received a call from an inmate at King Fahd Hospital saying the treatment he was receiving at the hospital was not enough.

He demanded to be transported to another hospital or else he would jump from the hospital building. Saad said the Civil Defense was present at the scene as the man was standing on the ledge of the window, 20 feet above the ground.

The man was being treated at the hospital for an injury to his hand as a result of a car accident and no hospital was willing to accept him because it was not an emergency or severe injury.

The police, Civil Defense and a few doctors from the hospital were able to get him away from the ledge.
