Health minister inaugurates new vaccination center in Jeddah

Saudi Gazette report JEDDAH — Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah inaugurated on Wednesday a coronavirus vaccination center in the gymnasium facility at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah as part of the national campaign to combat the deadly virus. The event was also attended by the director of health affairs in Jeddah governorate, Dr. Mishaal Bin Misfer Al-Siyali, and a number of health officials. The new vaccination center, which comes due to the increase in the number of seeking to be inoculated against the virus using the Sehatty app, seeks to cater to more people and facilitate the access of citizens and residents to vaccines with ease. The center is equipped with all basic facilities and can serve a large number of beneficiaries in an organized and easy way. Manned by specialized medical professionals, the center has 60 “clinics” and is expected to attend to as many as 15,000 beneficiaries per day in line with precautionary and preventive measures. The health minister along with the director of health affairs and other top health officials also visited East Jeddah General Hospital. During his visit to the hospital, Dr. Al-Rabiah was briefed on the workflow and the services being provided in the hospital, especially since it is one of the large hospitals in Jeddah. He inspected the emergency and physiotherapy departments of the hospital. The minister was briefed on the services being provided to patients and the efforts being made to serve them. Dr. Al-Rabiah also visited the General Medical Authority and was briefed on its work.
