Saudi Fares wins bronze award in APIO 2021

RIYADH — The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has won a bronze award in the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO) 2021, organized virtually by Indonesia. The Saudi informatics national team's made its debut in the Olympiad, which saw the presence of 35 countries. Fares Bin Ibrahim Basiouni, a student at Education Department of the Royal Commission for Yanbu, won the bronze award among participants representing the most powerful countries in the Asia-Pacific region in the field of informatics, such as Japan, China and Russia. This year, APIO 2021 was hosted again by Indonesia. For most of the participating countries, APIO 2021 serves as one of the main TSTs (Team Selection Tests) for IOI 2021. The competition is IOI >
