Saudi Arabia opens labor attaché in Egypt

Saudi Gazette report CAIRO — The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development opened Saudi Arabia’s labor attaché office at its embassy headquarters in Egypt here recently. The opening ceremony was held at the Saudi embassy premises in the presence of Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League Osama Naqli and the Labor Attaché designate Faisal Al-Otaibi. The attaché was opened as part of the Kingdom’s plan to open a number of labor attachés in a number of countries that send large number of manpower to the Kingdom, the Saudi Press Agency reported. Ambassador Naqli said in a press statement that the opening of the attaché comes within the framework of the growing excellent relations between the two countries, as well as to serve the labor sector and ease procedures of recruitment and employment, taking into account of the large presence of the Egyptian workforce in the Kingdom. It is noteworthy that the Labor Attaché office in Egypt will be entrusted with several tasks, including representing the Kingdom on issues related to labor affairs, and raising awareness and education among workers hired to work in Saudi Arabia on the labor policies and regulations prevailing in the Kingdom. The labor attaché will contribute to enhancing coordination with its counterparts in the fields of work. It will also participate in improving and developing the mechanisms of the employment and recruitment system.
