Saudi Arabia announces SR500,000 for kin of health workers who die of coronavirus

Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — The families of health workers, who lost their lives while serving COVID-19 patients, will be provided SR500,000 as financial assistance, Saudi Arabia's Cabinet decided on Tuesday. The beneficiaries of the financial assistance include kin of both the deceased Saudi and expatriate health workers. The assistance will cover both civilian and military personnel working in the government and private health sectors. The move will be applicable from March 31 (Shaban 7) when the first infection of a health worker was reported in the Kingdom following the outbreak of the pandemic.
