Kuwait reports 75 new coronavirus cases

Saudi Gazette report JEDDAH — Kuwait registered 75 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, raising the total to 417, Kuwait News Agency reported on Friday, citing a statement from the health ministry announced on Friday. Out of the 75 new cases, five of them came back to Kuwait from the United Kingdom during the latest evacuation drive of the stranded citizens, said Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, the official spokesperson of the Ministry of Health said in his daily briefing. The tally of newly detected cases includes 26 Indian residents who mingled with a person under examination for infection, three residents from Bangladesh and three Egyptians who were in an identical condition. Earlier in the day, Kuwait’s Health Minister Dr. Basel Al-Sabah earlier announced one new recovery in a tweet, raising the total number of recoveries to 82. There are currently 335 active cases in Kuwait with 16 people in the intensive care unit.
