Bupa Arabia to cover all orphans in Kingdom with free medical insurance

Last updated: Monday, January 14, 2013 8:58 AM
Bupa Arabia signs deal with Ideal Raise Establishment orphanage Jeddah.

BUPA Arabia, the leading health insurance provider in the Kingdom, has signed an agreement with “Ideal Raise Establishment”, an orphanage located in Jeddah. The agreement entails Bupa to add all orphans living in the establishment to the 1085 existing orphans currently enrolled in the program with free medical insurance.

Bupa Arabia’s Chairman Eng. Loay Nazer and Shaker Al Zouari, the president of the orphanage signed the agreement which made Bupa conclude covering all 6 orphanage organizations in Jeddah. Tal Nazer, Bupa Arabia’s CEO and the CSR team also attended the signing.

Nazer said the company would not have achieved this milestone without the support and help of the Ministry of Social Affairs, represented by Dr. Yusuf Al Othaimeen and Mohammed Al-Harbi, the orphans’ affairs’ general manager in Saudi Arabia.

“We are a national company and a part of the community, and we find it necessary for us to participate in the elevation and progress of our country, and we hope that God Almighty will succeed us in covering all of the orphans in the Kingdom with our leading services in the field of medical insurance in the Kingdom,” Nazer said.

Bupa’s new initiative surpasses beyond the concepts of the conventional health insurance, where the orphans are visited by doctors to conduct full examination upon enrollment and to follow up on their health conditions.

Additionally, Bupa has established a dedicated helpline for orphans, and will hold a number of health related workshops to increase health awareness of orphans and the staff working with them whenever needed or required.

Orphans living in “Ideal Raise Establishment” were assigned to one of Jeddah’s top providers, Ghassan Najibe Pharaon. GNP is well known for its best medical quality and fast health services.

Bupa is targeting next year to cover all orphanages located in Makkah, Hail, Tabuk, Taif, and Dammam, accounting for a total number of 618 orphans, in part of its quest to cover 3000 orphans in various regions of the Kingdom with health insurance services free of charge over the next few years. – SG
