RIYADH — Foreign Affairs Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal will resume work Saturday, three months after undergoing surgery to remove an obstruction in his intestines, a ministry source said.

“Prince Saud Al-Faisal will return to the country Friday to take up his routine activities,” spokesman Osama Al-Nuqli was quoted as saying.

“He is in very good health and will resume his normal activities Saturday,” Al-Nuqli said.

On the occasion of his return to the homeland, Prince Saud expressed thanks and appreciation to King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Crown Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, for the care they accorded him during his illness.

In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Prince Saud thanked the Royal family and the Saudi people for their deep feelings.

He also expressed thanks and appreciation to the medical team of King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Jeddah that monitored his health. – SG
