BASEL – Aviation Link Saudi Arabia has taken delivery of the first BBJ 777-200LR (long range) ever to be completed for a private customer in the Middle East by Switzerland-based Amac Aerospace.
The delivery was completed from Amac’s facility in Basel following the conclusion of 19 months’ completion work, involving more than a combined 500,000 man-hours.
This unique aircraft features 29’000 kg of interior cabin weight, a total surface area of 265 sq m with various spaces including private hallway, master bedroom, master lavatory, private lounges, majlis, cabanas, guest areas, staff areas and various galleys throughout the cabin.
In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) includes audio video on demand (AVOD), monitors up to 64-inch size, Blu Ray players, live TV, Star Lighting, RGB mood lighting, external camera systems (fwd, aft, left, right, tail & zoom functionality), humidification system, Satcom telephone system, mobile phone usage via VoIP and Wi-Fi throughout the cabin to name but a few of the details achieved in completing this project.
“The principal set very high standards for this elegant interior,” said Bernd Schramm, Amac Group chief operating officer. “We are extremely pleased we were able to meet the demanding and challenging requirements specified.”
Schramm highlighted that Amac’s strong relationship and regular open communication with Boeing were key in facilitating the on-time completion.
