Injured passenger airlifted from desert

RIYADH — The Red Crescent airlifted on Tuesday morning a citizen who sustained severe injuries after he was involved in a traffic accident while crossing Al-Nufoud Desert in Hail. A Red Crescent spokesman said a helicopter searched for the citizen for two hours before locating him in the desert. He was airlifted to the National Guard Hospital in the region. In addition to other injuries, he is suspected to have suffered pelvic fractures.
