MAKKAH — A citizen in his 50s tried to commit suicide Wednesday in front of the Makkah mayor’s office because he was not allowed electricity connection. The citizen built additional floors to his house, which exceeded the allowed number of floors for extensions. When the secretary did not let him see the mayor, the man became angry. He tried to burn himself by pouring gasoline over his body. When he got out a lighter from his pocket and tried to set himself on fire security officers stopped him. Police are questioning the man and said they will refer him to the Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution.
