The most important nutrient at your age is protein, as protein is essential for normal growth, building strong muscles, brain development, making antibodies that defend your body against bacteria, for healthy hair, skin, and nails.

Eggs make the number one best source of protein found in nature. Eggs are full of proteins as they contain all of the eight essential amino acids, giving you even more protein than meat, chicken or fish. The protein in eggs is easily absorbed by your digestive system so that your body can benefit from it.

Eggs do contain a high amount of cholesterol, which is why eggs have had a bad reputation. Although adults with high blood cholesterol should eat no more than three eggs per week, kids can go ahead and enjoy a tasty egg every day of the week.
