ASIS organizes a colorful Investiture and Felication Ceremony

JEDDAH – Al Shoa’a International School (ASIS) organized an Investiture and Felicitation Ceremony Wednesday at their premises.

 
Chief guests Jannat Fazal Bhoy and Fareeda Karimuddin awarded the new student council memebers their badges.

The school captains Zainab Zafar and Abdul Raqueeb along with their house captains and class prefects solemnly pledged to uphold the school values and raise the banner and honor of ASIS.

The ceremony was attended by parents and staff of ASIS. Principal of Hala International School Tanveer Tariq and Principal of Novel International School Padma also presided over the ceremony as special guests.

To commemorate the Teachers Day, the ASIS management announced the ASIS Chairman Hajjad M .Al Ghamdi’s scholarship for students who excelled in academics during the academic year 2011-12.

Two months school fee was waived off for those students who achieved the first position, namely, Hannan, Aleena Akhilesh, Sonaa, Siddhant. Those who ranked second — Abdul Razak, Fadiya, Abdul Rehman and Archana Akhilesh — were exempted from paying one month’s tuition fee.

The dedicated teachers of ASIS who were handed certificates of recognition for their outstanding contribution to the school were Abeer Khalid, Jenny Hashim, Jeeja Shoby and Shinju Akilesh for the year 2011-12.

School principal Safia Razia expressed the sentiments of the chairman on establishing ASIS as an institution, which strives to live up to its motto “Learning Opportunities for Life”.

Saudi principal Hanifa and founder Shanthi Kumar also acknowledged the ASIS family.

Munira Abbas delivered the vote of thanks. The ceremony came to an end with the students singing the national anthems of both the countries — Saudi Arabia and India. — SG
