Silver Stars rout Mercury for 11th win

PHOENIX — Becky Hammon scored 13 of her 19 points in the first half to lead the San Antonio Silver Stars past Phoenix 89-47 Sunday, extending their club-best winning streak to 11 games. Hammon made two 3-pointers in the first half as the Silver Stars built a 19-point lead by the break. At Washington, Matee Ajavon scored 22 points and Jasmine Thomas made the go-ahead 3-pointer in OT as Washington ended an 8-game losing streak against Chicago with 75-71 win. At Minneapolis, Maya Moore scored 22 points as Minnesota clinched a playoff spot at the earliest point in franchise history as Lynx beat Shock 83-59. — AP
