MANILA — Ogie Alcasid celebrates his 25th year in show biz this month. He’s full of gratitude for the many blessings he has received. He says that the most important lesson he has learned is “not to approach failure in a negative way, because something good could come out of it.”

Alcasid celebrates the special event with an album launch, a movie project, and the opening of a Japanese restaurant named Ryu Ramen on Tomas Morato ave., Quezon City. The album pays tribute to Ogie as a singer and songwriter, and features 25 of his songs as interpreted by the likes of Martin Nievera, Arnel Pineda, Jaya and his wife, Regine Velasquez. A movie from Unitel, “I Do Bidoo Bidoo,” is next in line for the versatile performer, who will turn 45 on Aug. 27. Directed by Cris Martinez, the film, which showcases OPM tunes, has Ogie playing husband to Eugene Domingo. — Agencies
