Gang of thieves arrested

MADINAH — Madinah Police arrested a gang of pickpockets who robbed several visitors at the Prophet’s Mosque. The gang members were all overstayers from Yemen. Police raided their houses in the city’s downtown area where they discovered cash, cell phones and gold among other items. Col. Fahd Al-Ghanam, spokesman for Madinah Police, said the thieves were referred to the Central Area Police Station for processing. — SG
