JEDDAH — Based on the regulation of vehicles recall adopted by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Abdul Latif Jameel Company (ALJ) announced that as per information received from Toyota Motor Corporation, it will recall Camry and Aurion models produced during the period from October 2011 to July 2012, to conduct preventive inspection for fuel hose connecting fuel supply to the engine due to possibility of becoming wrinkled during connecter insertion at factory and in rare case it could result in abnormal wear of the fuel hose.
After completing the preparations for the recall campaign, the company will announce other details required to inspect 18,000 units to verify that the fuel hose is safe and sound, or to replace it in case of any defect.
First data showed that the possibility of suffering this problem is very low, and does not exceed 1 percent, it said in a statement. — SG
