GLASGOW — Dundee United shook off its European hangover to crush Hibernian 3-0 at Tannadice Sunday and go top of the Scottish Premier League at the end of the opening weekend of the season. United was held to a 2-2 draw by big-spending Russian club Dynamo Moscow in the Europa League third qualifying round first leg Thursday after conceding a stoppage-time equalizer, but they put that behind them with an impressive display against the Edinburgh club. Johnny Russell, Jon Daly and substitute Michael Gardyne got the goals for Peter Houston’s side, who will now travel to Moscow. — AFP
