Girl, 5, brought up by cows?

MOSCOW — Russian social workers have taken a five-year-old girl into care as she appears to have been largely brought up by cows.

According to reports, her mother and stepfather didn’t take her to school, instead leaving her to stay with the animals on their farm, where she had to play with cigarette butts for toys.

A social services case has been opened about the girl, who is unable to eat with a knife and fork nor speak.

The unnamed youngster — who just drinks milk and grunts — has now been sent to a rehab center. — Agencies
