Last updated: Tuesday, July 17, 2012 4:27 PM

RIYADH — The Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution (BIP) has started monitoring measures taken to deal with minor incidents of rioting by detainees in Al-Hayer Prison in Riyadh. The BIP listed the damages caused by the rioters and investigated the causes for the rioting, an official source at the BIP said.

The source appealed to anyone with complaints or suggestions on the conditions of any prisoner or detainee in Saudi prisons to approach the BIP for redress. He assured that the agency will look into all such complaints and take necessary measures conforming with the tasks and responsibilities assigned to it. — SG/SPA
