SR2,000 fine for smoking in EP restaurants

DAMMAM — Alkhobar municipality started a campaign recently to ban smoking inside restaurants. Restaurants that allow customers to smoke will face a SR2000 fine. A spokesman from the municipality said the ban is being applied for the first time in the region and is aimed at protecting public health. He said the municipality hopes to make all restaurants smoke free in the near future. — SG
