Importance of Father's Day

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

Tahniyath Ilyas

This is a great opportunity to express my feelings for my father on this auspicious day. Every child loves his father and like every other child I too love my dad a lot. Fathers are strict, hard hearted (we think but they aren’t), dominating, possessive, caring and the list is endless.

Fathers are the most precious thing in one’s life. Fathers are the ones who aren’t selfish at all. They agonize for their family. They buy anything we want even if that thing costs double or trouble.

Whenever and whatever we want they bring it for us no matter what. They sacrifice, sacrifice and sacrifice throughout their lives. Our mothers also contribute a lot in our lives, but if they are exhausted they talk to us or they scold us, but hidden behind their dismay is their unconditional love.
However, most fathers do not even do that, they tolerate and drink away all the pain and sorrows.

In the 21st century it is very common that these caring fathers are being assaulted by their own children.

They are thrown in some old-aged homes; if not old age homes they are being treated like slaves. Don’t these cruel atrocious, cruel children realize how much sacrifice their fathers have gone through?

We should imagine ourselves in their (fathers) positions and how without bothering about their health and wealth to keep their children happy and get a peaceful sleep.

Ask the children who aren’t blessed with a father, how compact their life is and how they are living and facing hardships without a strong pillar — fathers.

Therefore, we should think ourselves lucky as we are blessed with a father, Alhamdulillah. We must also pray for our father and thank Allah, the Almighty, to bless us like this forever and ever.
