An onlooker uses his mobile phone to take pictures of the burning Mantralaya building, which houses the Maharashtra state secretariat, in Mumbai, Thursday. A major fire broke out of the Mantralaya building that houses offices of India’s Maharashtra state Chief Minister, key ministers, and top officials, reports said. People were reported trapped in the upper floors of the building, with the fire department, police response teams, and navy pressed into rescue operations. At least 11 people were injured and hospitalized due to the fire, media reported. — AFP
