Kanoo Group strengthens support to Abu Dhabi Industry Award 2012

DUBAI – Encouraging national students to excel in their studies while reaching their full potential - both personally and professionally, The Kanoo Group, a Gulf-based multinational group of companies with over 100 years of entrepreneurial experience and a commitment to community, supported the Abu Dhabi Industry Award 2012 ceremony as a main sponsor. Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mabarak Al Nahayan honored Tuesday the winners with a deliverance speech to approximately 500 attendees who included students, graduates, parents, faculty, staff and representatives of the award’s sponsors at a special ceremony held at Health Sciences Auditorium CERT Technology Park - Abu Dhabi.
The prestigious award recognizes the hard work and dedication of the Higher Colleges of Technology and a total of 33 winners who graduated in 2011 were selected for their overall academic performance in their professional program specializations. All winners issued with a certificate of recognition, and received cash prizes.
The Abu Dhabi Industry Award aims to encourage national students to pursue professional programs which are vital for local industry and to provide a venue for UAE industry to recognize excellence in national graduates.
Chancellor of Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) Dr. Tayeb Kamali and a number of officials and representatives of organizations and private companies who sponsored the awards also attended the ceremony. This year, among The Kanoo Group’s official delegation to the ceremony included Mohamed Abdul Latif Kanoo - Area Executive, Ameel Murshed - P. A. to Chairman - UAE & Oman and Ali Islim - Marketing Manager. – SGThe Kanoo Group has been recognized for its ongoing support and partnership with the Higher Colleges, which makes the Abu Dhabi Industry Award an important aspect of the graduates’ professional growth and development. The Abu Dhabi Industry Award remained an important event for the HCT due to the significant support from many industry partners over the years.
