The Filipino Channel (TFC) has included the most popular episodes of the soap opera “Maalaala Mo Kaya” with English subtitles in its prime time schedule for the benefit of its non-Filipino audience.

On June 2, TFC unveiled its newest offering. For the utmost entertainment of its non-Filipino and, to some extent, second generation viewers, the channel started airing the most interesting episodes of the popular soap opera Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) with English subtitles. TFC has translated into English the content of the longest-running Filipino drama ever for the benefit of subscribers’ family members who do not speak Filipino as their first language.
The program is available to Filipino viewers in the US, Canada, the Middle East, Europe, Australia, Japan and some other parts of Asia.
Hosted by ABS-CBN Corporation President and Chief Content Officer Charo Santos-Concio, Maalaala Mo Kaya, or Could You Remember, dramatizes real-life stories of Filipinos not just in the Philippines but all over the world.
The prime episodes to be screened with English captions include the award-winners, real life stories and exciting serials on the youth.
TFC aired the award-winning “Rehas” as the first episode in the series. The episode earned lead actress Gina Pare?o the “Best Drama Performance By An Actress” from the 12th Asian TV Awards in 2007 for her heart-rending performance as a mother who had to live with several mentally-ill members in her family.
