Several arrested in Asir shooting

ASIR — Asir police arrested a number of illegal expatriates from Africa in connection with a shootout that occurred between the handler of an illegal maid and her Saudi employer.

According to eyewitness accounts, a fight broke out between the two after they were unable to settle on a salary for the maid who had been working at the Saudi man’s house. The two brandished guns and a firefight ensued in which the man and his sister and the handler and the maid were injured.

Police said all four are stable and they are investigating the incident. — SG
