Riyadh police bust burglary gang

RIYADH — Police busted a seven-member gang suspected of involvement in at least 45 home burglary cases in Riyadh. The arrests were made following complaints from residents about the thefts. After reviewing evidence provided by the complainants, police were able to zero in on the suspects and arrest them. The gang members confessed to breaking into at least 45 houses in the city and stealing valuables. They would put houses under surveillance and break in after making sure no one was inside. They also confessed to selling most of the stolen items in the open market. — SG
