Female TV presenter ‘attacked’

AL-KHOBAR — Police here are investigating a Saudi man in his 40s for verbally abusing a TV presenter and her production team in a mall in Al-Khobar.
Recounting the details of the unprovoked attack, Noha Al-Nazir, said, “I was filming an episode on food habits in Ramadan when a man suddenly forced his way into the shop we were shooting in. He started insulting and verbally abusing all those involved in the program including the cast members. He even physically attacked our lighting technician, a local daily reported Monday.
His gripe seemed to be linked to the way the TV presenter was dressed. He is alleged to have shouted, “Unveiled evils, you just came to display your charm.” — SG
