60 evacuated after Taif fire

TAIF — A large fire broke out inside a four-story building in Taif forcing the Civil Defense to evacuate 60 tenants. Col. Khalid Al-Qahtani, Taif Civil Defense spokesman, told Okaz/Saudi Gazette that three fire fighting teams were dispatched to battle the blaze.

“The fire was doused in a short time and investigators are working to find the source of the fire,” said Al-Qahtani while urging parents to keep a close eye on their children and to avoid plugging too many things into an electrical outlet.
