An act of kindness goes a long way

Last updated: Thursday, May 24, 2012 4:57 PM

The students of grades 4, 5 and 6 of Manarat International School, Jeddah were chosen for a community service project, which was organized by Hani Mahran, Business Development Manager, at the Inter Continental Hotel on April 29 to donate products for the less fortunate in the society.

The students had been collecting different hygienic items for around two weeks with constant guidance from their teachers.

The major purpose of this humanitarian gesture was to educate the students on serving the community and grow up into responsible citizens.

The principal, Wafaa Ahmed Ashmawi believes in instilling the importance of community service in the students as it helps in developing their personalities apart from gaining academic knowledge in school. — SG
