RAF chopper lands on beach for emergency ice cream stop

NORFOLK — The British Royal Air Force made a big scene at a Norfolk tourist beach when a blaring rescue helicopter landed on the sand, blowing up a violent cloud of dust and unloading airmen in vests and suits.
Of course, the military service members were on important mission when they caused such a stir. The mission? To buy ice cream. Yes, that’s right ... cold, sweet, creamy treats.
Although many observers were concerned about the chopper’s landing and military personnel swarming the cafe, thinking there was an emergency, the crew reportedly stated casually: “It’s alright. We just want an ice cream.” — Agencies
