CPC to focus on environment at Saudi CSR Forum

SUSTAINABLE strategies for environmental protection will be the thrust of Construction Products Holding Company’s participation as platinum sponsor in the 2nd Saudi Corporate Social Responsibility Forum to be held May 29-30 at Park Hyatt Hotel in Jeddah.
Dr. Faysal Alaquil, Director of Business Development and Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at CPC, will speak on Corporate Responsibility Towards Environment Protection and address CPC’s strategy in this regard.
"We highly prioritize environment protection in all our projects and use recyclable materials as much as possible" Alaquil said, underscoring the importance of preserving the environment and natural resources for future generations.
The forum is an ideal platform for national companies to translate corporate social responsibility (CSR) into sustainable strategies he added "By creating the framework for the next phase of CSR initiatives, the forum aims to instill in the Saudi business community a culture of social responsibility and to face up to challenges as these initiatives are translated into sustainable strategies."
Organized by Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Al-Iktissad Wal Aamal Group, the forum will discuss a wide range of CSR issues, including harmonizing CSR agenda with business plans so as to achieve sustainability, new CSR initiatives, ways to report social responsibility programs, mechanisms for establishing reliable supply chains, big businesses’ responsibility towards the development of small companies, the media’s role in spreading the CSR culture, and ways to benefit from local, regional and international CSR experiences. – SG
