Solaf finally lights up ‘Blue Lamps’

DAMASCUS – Syrian actress Solaf Fawakherji has recently completed filming on the period drama “Blue Lamps” which was postponed last year due to political events in Syria, an Arabic daily reported. The series is an adaptation of a novel by the same title, written by Hanna Mina, which focuses on the French occupation of Syria in the 1940s.
Solaf plays Randa, a deeply romantic and patriotic person. “This work tells stories of love, romance, real life and politics,” Solaf said. The star of the series will be wearing specially-made dresses of that period. — SG
