Assailants used duplicate key to break in

By Ibrahim Alawi
Okaz/Saudi Gazette
JEDDAH – Jeddah Police investigators have discovered that the assailants who brutally stabbed an Arab expatriate gained entry to his flat with a duplicate key.
The police have also discovered that a friend of the victim had sent him SMSs threatening to kill him.
The friend, during questioning by the police, denied any involvement in the assault. He justified the harsh language of the messages by saying that he wanted to scare his friend because he refused to listen to his advice.
The Arab expatriate was stabbed in the neck and abdomen by unknown dark-skinned persons inside his apartment in north Jeddah last Thursday. Medical sources said he is in stable condition.
