Majid’s ton in vain, MHA, Maazco win

JEDDAH – Mohamed Harasani Architects beat IBS convincingly by 7 wicket, Maazco had the better of Reel & Rom by 28 runs in a low scoring match and Hyderabad Green notched up a narrow 2 wicket win over KAIA in the 6th week matches of Jotun League for Division 2 which is sponsored by Jotun Saudi Arabia and organized by JCA here.
Batting first, IBS was shot out for a low score of 121 which MHA scored for 3 wickets only. For IBS, Shakeel made 35 with 5 fours while Umair scored 26 which had 2 sixes. Khalil and Khalid grabbed 2 wickets each for 13 and 17 runs respectively while Atta and Shad got one each.  MHA scored 122-3 in 9 overs. Shad Mohammad hit a hurricane 48 (5 sixes, 3 fours) off only 11 balls and Miraj 40 off 16 balls. Nisar picked up 2-28.
Maazco was all out for 134 but in turn Reel & Rom  was bundled out for 106. For Maazco, the main contributions came from Sabir 30, Mahmood 22 and Usman 22. Imran took 3-24 and Muneer 2-20 while Frankie picked up 1-8.
In reply Reel & Rom was skittled out for 106 with Wajid being the lone contributor with a well-made 50 and Rehan battled hard for his 19.  Mahmood (3-20), Sabir (3-10) and Zeeshan (1-17) bowled  a tight length to dismiss Reel & Rom cheaply and give their team Maazco a well deserved win by 28 runs in a low scoring match.
KAIA made 171-5 with Majid leading the way with a brilliant century 100 off 47 balls with 11 fours and 4 sixes. Sajid chipped in with 20. Ashfaq 4-19 and Abdullah 1-44 applied the brakes. In reply, Hyderabad Green reached the target of 172 despite losing 8 wickets. Khalid with a solid 50 and was well supported by useful contributions from Shoaib (27) and Najeeb 27 not out. Mahboob and Noor chipped in with 2 wickets each for 2 and 38 runs respectively while Farman and Ajaz picked up one wicket each as Hyderabad Green reached the target with an over to spare.
